Mining for Memories by Laura Kovarik – March 9, 2017
Let’s rethink how the genealogy interview is conducted. Names and dates are an important part of genealogical research. However, to create context for our ancestors, we need more than just names and dates. Interviewing family members allows genealogists to create a rich, detailed portrait of relatives that cannot be found in documents or online databases. This program is aimed at presenting ideas to expand the interview process and access those memories that can add those details to our ancestors’ lives.
